Pros: It was really fun and I think the piece turned out really good. I really enjoyed painting my hand. Also the photos turned out really well. Plus it was a pretty easy project.
Cons: I could have finished it faster and focused on my time. Also I think I should have worked on the earth more and could have painted the whole thing rather then half of it. Process: I started by taking two days to paint the earth then on the third day I painted my hand to look like a galaxy. I also had someone do white platter paint to look like stars in the sky. Pros: I think the piece turned out really well. I think the arms coming out of the back looks really cool. The saran rap molded are arms very well. Also the piece really looked like it was coming out of the back.
Cons: Me and my partner keep changing our idea so we were close on time. Also I think we should have used something stronger to hold the arms down to the board because they keep falling. Process: We started by wrapping are arms in saran wrap, then we painted a piece of cardboard. then we put blue strings for straps and the blue wrap for the border. Then we glued the arms on it and painted it to look like a shadow. Questions:

1.) I plan on glazing my pot all the way around and paint the inside and outside. I want to fix my lid and put the cookie back on the side. I also want to try and fix the edges of my piece to make it more realistic. Once I'm all the way down I am going to take it home and put it in my kitchen and use it as a jar. 2.) I think it is really difficult to smooth everything out, also to make everything perfect. Once it is dry there is no more you can do and your piece must be perfect cause you can't fix it. 3.) I think using the cylinder really helped my piece and it made it easy to work with and made it easy to make it perfect. I also think using the slab technique is easy to use. 4.) I decided to use the slab technique as it would make my pot perfect and it seemed pretty easy to use. It was really really nice to work with, but rolling out such a big piece of clay had some difficulty. My pot was really rough around the edges and side so I took a paint brush a water and smooth them out. |
